Twirl & Take a Bow Party ~ #118

~Time to Share~

Hey guys! Another week has started and another party is underway. But before we get into the features and the party, I’d like to ask you what you think about the new blog layout…

Do you like it? Is it easy to navigate?

I really want your thoughts because I want it to be easy and appealing to my readers. I took into account some opinions that had already been shared and my husband weighed in, which was really helpful. (Seriously, he was a lot of help!)

I guess sometimes we need to see things through others eyes to really see the true picture.

So let me know what you think….

House on the Way

I’m so excited and honored to be choosing this week’s party features. There were so many amazing projects, crafts, DIY and recipes shared….WOW! You guys are so talented.

It was hard choosing just a few. I could have done a furniture feature…or a Thanksgiving feature….or a Christmas…or a craft…or a recipe… You get the idea. So to get a little bit of it all, I mixed it up and grabbed a little of each.

Enjoy the inspiration and be sure to share again this week. When you link up once, it shows up on 7 blogs! We have our 6 regular hosts and our guest host, Laura from The Unique Nest. And next week…she gets to choose the features!

Now, let’s take a peek at the top picks and be sure to join the party!

As soon as I saw this beauty at the party, I knew I had to feature it! This painted dresser from Create & Babble is gorgeous in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Typewriter. Plus, Jeanie shares some tips for using milk paint!

Leslie, everything looks great! However I do think that your lovely “logo” could be larger…it feels a little lost or unimportant up there on the top. Also, I noticed that the date is in the navigation bar as well as in your content and your title could be a wee bit larger as the words, “time to share” are in a larger font. One more thing…. I have read it over and over from the top blogging sites…your face and “about” need to be at the top of your sidebar. Also…I don’t see your SM buttons anywhere. Hope you don’t mind my four cents. 😉

    Be blessed!

Thanks so much Diane for your suggestions! I didn’t realize that I didn’t have my photo at the sidebar. It was on the homepage and I totally forgot to add it to the sidebar for the rest of the pages. I’m getting use to having an actual homepage! My social media buttons are at the top left, but I also added them to my footer and made a few adjustments there too. Have an awesome week!

I like the layout, although the home page is a little… cluttered, I guess (to be fair, I like vertically linear layouts just in general so it’s me, not you). But the individual posts look great!

Thank you so much for the feature, Leslie!! And I love your new layout, it’s very clean and classic. One suggestion would be making your logo a little bigger at the top, but that’s about it! Have a great night 🙂

You’re welcome and thank you so much for joining the party, Breanna! Thanks for the suggestion. The logo is the size that the header widget is set to, but I might be able to have it tweaked. Have an awesome week.

Thank you Lindi! The mobile version is different. It makes it a little better on a small phone, but at the bottom you can choose to switch to desktop view, which you might like better on the iPad. Have a great week!

Hi Leslie! Thanks for hosting. I like the layout. I think the homepage takes some getting used to but I find a lot of people going to that layout.

I am having trouble getting the party button to load as a button on my page. Is it just me or is anyone else having that issue?

Thanks so much Jillian! I’ll look into the party button code. If you go to the bottom of my site, there is an additional menu bar that has “buttons”. You might try grabbing the code from there. Thanks for letting me know. Have a great day!
