Halloween is such a fun time of year! We get to dress up, eat candy and scare each other! Ok…maybe getting scared is not all that fun, but you get the idea! For me, one of the funniest parts of Halloween is the decorations! It’s a holiday that you can go all out, and if you do, it only makes it better!
One of my favorite sources for fun, holiday decor ideas is Better Homes and Gardens. Check out some of these great outdoor Halloween decorations that I found on their website.
This door mat idea is great! They simply took a door mat, cut it into a circle and glued clothesline to it in the shape of a spiderweb! How cool is that?!?!?
This spooky scene is made using black craft foam pieces. The pieces are attached with removable black cloth tape. You could create any design or scene that you want! Just cut and create your shapes.
I’m loving this crazy lady! This was created with actual mannequin legs. If you’re like me and do not have a pair of legs lying around, you could get a little creative and maybe try something like a tube from gift wrap. You could layer it with cloth to give it a soft shape like a leg. Once the tights were on, you could stuff them to get a more genuine look.
This is my favorite! The spookier…the better! The silhouettes were created with plywood and black spray paint. BHG even provides a free witch pattern so you can create you’re own.
Stop by BHG and get some great ideas to make your Halloween creative, fun and just a bit spookier!
