Ho-Ho-Ho
It’s just about that time! Christmas is right around the corner and in this house…we love Santa!
Two years ago, I started decorating around the theme of Santa’s belt. I know you’ve all seen the mugs, candles and ornaments. They have them everywhere! I usually try to buy anything and everything that is “Santa’s belt.” That can get expensive. Why not make my own Santa’s belt decoration instead of always buying it?!
That’s what I did…I made a Santa’s Mason Jar Belt!
Isn’t’ it cute…and easy!
First, I made sure my mason jar was clean and dry. I knew that I wanted to use it for holding silverware, so I spray painted the outside of the jar with glossy cherry red spray paint.
After letting it dry, I used Frog Tape to tape off a strip in the middle of the jar. I used black craft paint for the belt.
Once the black paint was dry, I used glitter glue to create the buckle. I used a small foam brush and did it freehand.
I tied black tulle around the rim of the jar.
I think it is adorable! It’s a simple craft to do and it would be fun for the kids to get involved.
It would be great to make three…for forks, knives and spoons! Great for those holiday parties that will be here before you know it!
