My New Coffee Station

~Need a Coffee Break~

I got a whim to create a new coffee station after deciding I was tired of running around my kitchen to make a cup of coffee. Ok…maybe not literally running…but it felt like it because everything I needed to create a cup of coffee was in different locations of my kitchen.

Coffee Station

It was the Case of the Traveling Coffee…

The coffeemaker was by the t.v.

The mugs were by the refrigerator.

The cream and sugar were by the kitchen sink.

The spoons were by the stove.

Believe me…at 7 am, when you want your coffee…you want it then. You want it to be easy. You want it to be quick.

So no more running around the kitchen. I decided to create a coffee station…everything in one place!

It’s wonderful! I can stand in one spot…make my coffee…pour it in the mug…grab a spoon…add my cream and sugar…and enjoy!

I used a wooden tray from Pier One to organize and keep everything I need in one spot.

My coffee is kept in an airtight container inside of my Longaberger canister basket.

I actually have two sugar bowls and one creamer. One sugar bowl has my sweetener and one has my Coffeemate powdered creamer. My little ceramic creamer holds my spoons.

My mugs are held close by with my wrought iron mug tree. I love it because it holds six mugs and saves counter space.

Coffee Station

I’m loving my new coffee station! Everything is nice, neat and organized…and in one spot! One could argue that I’m losing out on some much-needed exercise but one would be wrong…

Hello, I’m new to your blog and loving it. I too have ‘traveling coffee’ syndrome. I like your idea, it’s looks great, but wondering how often you’ll have to take everything off of the tray to wipe up the sugar/creamer that falls on the tray. Also it appears that you have the same problem that I do, having to pull the coffee pot out from under the cabinet in order to fill it with water. I hate that most of them fill from the top and can’t be accessed when they are pushed back under the upper cabinet. How is this working for you? Thanks for the post, maybe I’ll make some changes to my coffee situation.

Great to have you Diane! I arranged it so that I can leave the coffee maker on the tray and still be able to pull it forward to fill with water. I’m like you…hate that! As far as cleaning up, we’ll see…the arrangement is still rather new. Have a great day!

I love all the accessories. The mugs, tree, creamer & sugar and basket are so nice. Can you share where you got them?
