How About a Makeover, Deer?

~Oh Deer~

Yes, there is a new man in the house. Well, not really a “man”…but we’ve given him the designation of being a male.

I will say that I never thought I would let him in…It took me a long time to get on this trend track. But I opened the door and welcomed him in…

When I found him at West Elm, he was silver and on sale! They had me at “on sale.” I had contemplated trying this antler trend for a while and I decided to just go for it. Why not give it a try?!

Did I want him to be shiny and silver? No. That’s why we have spray paint…

A couple of coats of white satin spray paint and he was ready to go! There was no priming, no prepping…just paint.

I love his fresh color. I love that he resides in the center of my antique frame. I love that he gives a new look to the space. I love that he’s paper-mache and has never been alive!

And I can’t wait to put a wreath around his neck this Christmas!

  1. Funnily enough I have just bought and hung an almost identical one on my hall wall – but love the addition of the frame.
