It Was Colonel Mustard, In The Library, With The Candlestick

Thursday, I made a visit to our local Restore “store.” I stumbled across some candlesticks that made me say, “Those are so little and cute!” Usually, when that crosses my mind, the next thought is, “Oh yes. Those are going home with me.”

Here is what I scored for $3.25! Six adorable candlesticks!

Aren’t they cute! I love the two smallest ones. I’m thinking “new collection!”

Now, where to put them…

I have this antique piece that I bought at a flea market in England. Beautiful glass doors! Perfect to show off my new collection.

What do you think?I like them in this cabinet. I think they go along with the style of it.

I don’t have to keep them in this cabinet, just because it’s antique. They would be great in some built-in bookcases, a desk, a mantle…They would be so cute on a tray on a coffee table or ottoman.

I also think it would be neat to mix some bigger ones with these small ones, especially if they were in some built-ins. That would be a great way to show off a collection…having them spread out among the shelves.

Have you started any new collections lately? I think there is always room for one more…

  1. I love brass! I have just discovered my love for it as I am finding such great finds at the thrift stores. I love the patina of old brass! Those are too cute!
