Flowers, Cards & Chocolates
Last night my youngest son asked if I’d be leaving a box of chocolates outside his room for Valentine’s Day. Of course!
I have a simple tradition around our house. On Valentine’s Day morning, I always leave a box of candy and a card outside my kids’ bedroom. My oldest is away at college, so he’ll be getting his today in the mail. Let’s hope it didn’t melt!
Valentine’s Day is a day to let the ones we love know how special they are to us. We can do this in simple ways.
This morning my kids stepped out of their rooms and found their chocolates. I love to see that the simplest gesture can mean something so special to them.
There were a few chocolates eaten for breakfast! But that’s ok…it’s Valentine’s Day.
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day and your time spent with the ones you love!

Awww, that’s so cute that you have this tradition! I’m sure your kids really appreciate how thoughtful you are.

Sometimes I worry that they get tired of the goofy things I do, especially as they get older, but they get so upset if I don’t! So we keep going! I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Have a great weekend!
