~Sun, Sand and Bunnies~
Ok…maybe not bunnies.
Our spring break inevitably falls on Easter every year. We seem to always have Easter at the beach. Therefore, instead of egg hunts and bunny rabbits, we have sea shells and sand.
But that’s ok. My kids are older and a bit past the baskets of goodies. (They prefer iTunes cards or cash from the rabbit of choice!)
Although, as a mom, I miss those days when they woke to find the chocolate bunnies and Cadbury creme eggs. As I sat around the house yesterday, I searched for signs of Easter.
I found some grass to remind me of the multitude of eggs hidden within the field.
I searched but could not find a bunny. I settled for a duck.
My search uncovered a basket for filling, although the traditional tall handled version was not to be found.
Beautifully dyed eggs were lacking but I settled for a variety of another sort.
Perhaps it’s not your typical Easter decor and traditions, but I’ve found that it’s always best to find what you’re looking for and enjoy what you have to work with!
Have a Happy Easter!
