DIY Beach Theme Throw Pillows

Today I’m sharing my DIY throw pillows that I made for my sectional at my beach house.

Throw Pillows

I knew I wanted beach appropriate pillows for my sectional, but I didn’t want to go overboard with the tropical theme. I wanted a touch of the tropics and I wanted colorful and fun!

Throw Pillows

The fabrics I chose are by Robert Allen and I found them at Joann’s Fabric and Crafts. I love the mix of the tropical floral with the stripe and the geometric.

The fabulous geometric print is Robert Allen’s Cat’s Cradle in Papaya. The tropical print is Rowlily in Palm Beach.

The striped fabric is Robert Allen’s Bristol Stripe in Palm Beach.

The square pillows are 20″ x 20″ and the rectangle pillow is 16″ x 16″. The feather pillow inserts are from IKEA and they were a steal at $6.99 each!

You can check out my DIY pillow tutorial which shows how I made these pillows with trim. It shows step-by-step instructions with pictures.

They are actually really easy to make and I love the beach themed look!

Great fabrics on the pillow covers! They look so very expensive! I am going over to see your pillow tutorial too. I saw your post over at the CSI Project sewing challenge.
