Christmas Swan-a-Swimming
In the Twelve Days of Christmas, there are seven swans-a-swimming…at my house there’s only one!
Do you remember my DIY swan art that I made from plywood?
I love it and wanted to dress it up for Christmas! I decided that any self-respecting swan would wear a ring of garland trimmed with red berries around the holidays. With a quick fix, my swan became instant Christmas swan art!
It was very simple to do…I used a 3m command strip to attach a small piece of garland to the swan’s neck. Tuck in a sprig of berries and my lovely swan is decked out for the season! The best part is that because I used a command strip, the Christmas greenery will pop right off!
Originally, my swan’s home was it hanging on the wall. I love the rustic feel of my swan, so I decided to display it on my Welsh cabinet amid my crocks and pottery.
The top is decorated with ornament filled garland laid among my collection of baskets.
I also filled one of my stoneware bowls with a mix of red, black and silver ornaments.
My red chargers came from the Dollar Tree! I think they look great! Very festive!
My two trees have red and black check ribbon tied into bows. The ribbon coordinates with the ornaments and my swan artwork.
I love my Christmas Swan art! It makes me wish I did have seven swans-a-swimming!
