Christmas Ribbon Ornament Craft

Wrap a Ribbon Ornament

I am so excited to be participating in the 12 Days of Christmas Crafts for Kids series! Christmas crafts are a tradition and every family loves to get together and create beautiful decorations.

Today I’m going to show you a quick and easy ornament craft.

Christmas Ribbon Ornament Craft

Supplies:

styrofoam balls or squares, ribbon, pins, scissors

Christmas Ribbon Ornament

I chose to make my Christmas Ribbon ornaments using styrofoam balls.

Cut your ribbon in strips that are long enough to wrap around the ball once. Use the stick pins to secure the ribbon to the styrofoam ball.

Keep wrapping the ribbons…

until the styrofoam ball is completely covered.

Create a ribbon hanger by tying a small bow at the bottom of ribbon and attaching it with a pin.

Such cute ornaments!

I made the second ribbon ornament with one ribbon that I simply wrapped around and around the ball. I did not cut the ribbon until the styrofoam ball was completely covered. I overlapped the edges as I wrapped.

I used different ribbons for the hangers. You can use any mix of colors or prints.

All three ornaments were made in less than an hour. This is a great, quick and easy craft to make with your family!
