~The 12 Days of Christmas Tour~
I’d like to invite you to join me as I share my Christmas Home Tour with you today, as part of the 12 Days of Christmas Tour! It’s a great Christmas Tour involving 30 bloggers! We’re sharing our decorations, ideas, projects and more.
Isn’t this a fabulous time of year? There’s something a little magical about the season and I love to show the fun and excitement in my holiday decorations.
This year I decided that I wanted to use a more traditional Christmas decor. I decided to forego the glitter and sparkle and focus on classic red and white with beautiful greenery and berries.
Think snowballs and white winter branches…
There’s peace, joy, hope and love…
Think sleds, ice skates and glowing Christmas lights…
As you enter through my front door, you’re greeted with classic garland trimmed with simple red bows.
The table in the foyer is graced with an antique dough bowl filled with garland swags that I used on my stairs last year. I added a simple teardrop swag to the mirror and some wrapped presents under the table.
Just for fun, I placed some jingle bells in the arrangement.
Santa also greets my guests as they walk through the front door…this vintage style wooden Santa sign is one of my favorite pieces of Christmas decor.
In the family room, you’ll find the tree. It’s a 12 foot slim tree and it holds the ornaments that we’ve collected through the years. My son put his “Baby’s 1st Christmas” ornament on and we realized that it was 21 years old! I can’t imagine not having these special ornaments on that tree!
Usually the top of the tree holds a large bow or other fun arrangement. This year, since we’re going for a fun, old-fashioned Christmas theme, I went with a traditional star. I added some greenery and berries to give the top more substance.
I have a few vignettes in the family room. This arrangement of vases, white birdcage and small tree is simple but lovely.
On my coffee table, I’ve used my large basket filled with my Burlap Presents that I created last year. I wrapped the smaller one with my new Merry Christmas ribbon.
In the dining room, I decorated my Welsh Cabinet with a Merry Christmas sign, garland and my very own Christmas “goose”.
To give my chandelier a little touch of Christmas, I added some garland and berries by simply wrapping the garland around the arms of the chandelier.
For the center of the table, I used my bell jar over a simple rustic red star and surrounded it with more garland.
The corner cabinet holds some of my white dishes. To give it a Christmas feel, I placed greenery around select pieces, added a sled and white ornaments.
On the door, I hung my grapevine bells that I found at Target years ago. I’ve always loved these bells. They’re rustic and unique.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I want to wish you all a very….
