House on the Way
Christmas Home Tour
2012
Christmas is only 8 days away! Can you believe it? My shopping is not done, but my Christmas decorations are all set!
It seems like the preparation for this Holiday Season has moved so fast! I decided to do a little round-up of the Christmas preparations that have taken place here at House on the Way…
Santa’s Belt themed decorations can be found in our living room where we place our family tree. The tree is covered with ornaments that represent first experiences, our travels, our hobbies and our memories. Santa’s big black belt circles the tree and a whimsical topper sits at its crown.
My Christmas swag hangs on my mirror from Pottery Barn. It is decorated to coordinate with our tree and mantel. Below my mirror is our Advent Calendar that I made this year from red glitter take-out boxes. The kids have loved opening their box each day!
I love to add garland and red berries to my kitchen. They line the top of my cabinets as well.
Frosty’s hat sits in the center of my kitchen table and JOY is exclaimed!
In my dining room, the decor is simple, yet rustic. My corner cabinet is filled with white dishes and accented with garland, red berries and a twine wrapped star.
I love my wooden sled from HomeGoods!
My front porch is decorated with lots of greenery and red ribbon.
When my guests walk through the door, they are greeted by my new friend and my alternative to garland. My lovely little reindeer was also found at HomeGoods.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and my favorite season for decorating!
I’m so happy that you stopped by to visit my home at Christmas!
Happy Holidays to you and yours!

I love your Merry Christmas sign. It is simple yet very elegant. Did you make it and if so, do you have a tutorial for it? I have looked at our favorite “graphic fairy” without any luck.
Thank you Carolyn! Unfortunately, I bought the sign! I have always loved it too! You have a great week and Happy Holidays!

Your home is just lovely, Leslie. I really like your tree with the Santa belt — so cute! I also really like your little sparkly “take-out” boxes for the Advent Calendar — very clever! It’s all so very festive and fun!
Thank you so much Carol! We are enjoying it all! Happy Holidays!

I like your decorations! I see you went with a traditional theme here and it’s my favourite too. My favourite are the white “knit” ornaments and the red berries in the white vase.
I found you on Houseblogging…Hope you’ll check out my blog too!
